Unbelievable actions for a hospital

I was trying to pick up a patient, and was hung up 5 times. For a hospital this is unbelievable.to has patient roaming in a hospital that can't get picked up due to the negligence of the staff is unheard of

Unprofessional uncaring staff

I went to the dr at premier walk in clinic on tuesday 11/21/23 due to swelling, redness, and tenderness in one of my legs. I had cellulitis, last year, really bad, and was hospitalized for 5 days. Pretty sure I had sepsis symptoms, from what I heard, when I first went to the sango er.

Anyway, this time, the dr at walk in told me that she didnt know if it was blood clots, an infection, or a blockage but she couldnt get me in till 12/12/23 for an ultrasound and went ahead and gave me an antibiotic, in case it is an infection. She did tell me to go to the hospital if it got worse because they could do tests stat.

Well guess what...my leg has since gotten worse so I went to the er on 11/22 around 8 pm or so and saw a dr. He told me that there was no one there to do an ultrasound but wanted me to come back at 7 am on the 23rd to have it done. He stated that he was going to have them give me an extra antibiotic to take, a blood thinner shot, and that would help me till I could come get the ultrasound done. So, I was given 3 antibiotic pills and a blood thinner shot and thats all. He said that if its a blood clot that the shot should take care of it and if not and its an infection, he would most likely admit me upon the ultrasound results. I was told by staff that took my vitals and all to come to the er at 7 am. I show up at 6: 50 am, walk into the er where the same black lady from the night before sat at the desk. I told her why I was there. She said you need to go on up the hall to outpatient. I told her what I was told last night. 5 minutes later, she goes into the back area, comes back out and says, they said you are supposed to go to the outpatient department, on down in the parking lot. I asked, can you call them and let them know I'm on my way because I was told to be here at 7 am. She said to me, "I don't have a phone" Really?! You don't have a phone. How do you do your job with no phone. I get over to the main entrance, walk in and there is no one anywhere, working, lights are off. I call the hospital to the switchboard and ask her if she knows whats going on. She tells me to go past the registration area and look to my left, go in there and have a seat and that someone will be with me soon. I walked over there and the door is locked. I tell her this. A few times she says hang on and then she comes back and says no one is scheduled for today to do ultrasounds. She kept saying mri and I had already told her at least 3 times its an ultrasound.

I left out and called the er and gave them a piece of my mind because what they did to me was inhumane and *** The lady I was talking to tried to act like she was sympathetic but she didnt care either. She asked me if I wanted to leave a message on voicemail with her boss and she would get back to me. I said no, because she isnt there either in which she admitted. I was so angry to be treated this way. She said, I'm gonna end this call because you are not going to yell at me. I let it go but I didnt realize that I was yelling. Anyway, they are the most unprofessional, uncaring, inept, bunch of people and I paid 50.00 on my visit to the er but they can kiss my *** because I'm not paying a penny more to them nor the dr. They knew damn well that they were feeding me *** when they told me to come back at 7 am this morning for an ultrasound and the black lady at the er knew damn well that no one was at the main entrance working which is why she didnt want to call them. They just wanted to get rid of me. YOU WILL HAVE A LAWSUIT ON YOUR HANDS IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO ME DUE TO YOUR STUPIDITY!

Stepmother visit

She went to the hospital in Cleveland Tennessee because she was blacking out and not remembering parts of her day on 10/7/23. She was seen in the ER and was admitted into the hospital. When she got a room, she was treated as bad. They left her lying in pain for hours. And the doctor treated her as if she had no problem when there was a problem. The doctor did not listen to her once. She also received her meal cold instead of hot.

Mistreatment by staff

I was kicked out of your hospital At Newport medical center by Mary Christian All because not like me and was not only passing blood rectally but also vomiting blood my potassium and magnesium were low and she said that everything was fine and to get me out of there . The previous nurse practitioner less than an hour prior had moved up my pain meds by one hour because she was so concerned but all of the sudden I was told to jerk my line out and "get me Out of there "she was so unprofessional And did not paper me down from my pain Mads she went from 2 mg of dilodid gave me 3 Percocet set 7.5 to go home with I could not tell you the pain I am suffering.

Please I beg of you to do something about this nurse practitioner she should not be handling patients she has no bedside manner and she makes decisions based on her emotions not based on fact. And I do have proof of all of this.

Doctor unaware

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was referred to Tennova by my specialist if I had issues ( I had a CAT which revealed 5 kidney stones.) We thought they may all pass without issue. A few months later I developed an issue and was referred by a PA to have an ultrasound done to see if the stone was causing issues.

I went to Tennova and explained to the nurse taking the information that I had been to a specialist in Nashville several months ago and a PA that day in Clarksville and they felt as though I needed an ultrasound at the emergency room.

Long story short....lots of tests were run (including a CAT scan, blood work, urine, and chest x-ray)...I told them I did not need a chest x-ray but they told me the doctor said I did need it so I said ok. When they called me in for a CAT scan I told them I was told I needed an ultrasound but she said they do not do ultrasounds there. When it was all over the doctor (1st time I saw him) sat next to me in the hallway and told me everything looked good, I was possibly constipated. I looked at him and said..."what about the kidney stone??" He literally looked at me like a deer in headlights.

He had NO idea why I was there. I was in shock.....I told him why I was there, he literally had no idea.

I was released....I owe somewhere around 9,000 AFTER my insurance because I had not met my 6,000 deductible. I am so frustrated...and will be paying this bill for months and months to come...along with my regular medical insurance bill.

A complaint about a doctor

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Nurse Practitioner Rice, Kimberly at the Tennova Healthcare Emergency room was very rude. When I arrived to the er I came in with a lot of symptoms due to being 11 weeks pregnant with Hyperemesis gravidarum .

I had been to the er before due to it as well. My symptoms were worse this time than the first but had been struggling with this since about 5-6 weeks pregnant. I struggled to breath, threw up 15 times that night, almost passed out on several occasions and they had given me a wheelchair (which was helpful), I couldnt keep liquids down, could barely eat a basic snakes day . When it came time for Kimberly to talk to me about my test results, she saw I was in a wheelchair and wouldnt come help me and instead stood there and made me walk to her.

When I went back she only talked to me for a total of 20 seconds. She said my results came back fine and then prescribed me meds. I had then asked her because of my condition and not being able to take care of my of their was anything she could do with the Red Cross to help my husband come home. She didnt even let me explain anything before interrupting me and saying what do you want me to do about it.

She then said in a rude voice that she wouldnt do it because it want life or death. She never even knew what was going on with me truly because she interrupted me and was rude. I couldnt even tell her anything and because she was so rude to me I cried and instead of saying she was sorry or hope that I got better she walked out of the room and didnt say a word. She never even asked how I was feeling physically and if I felt any better or anything.

I left the hospital feeling as *** as I did going in.

I never got to explain anything to her and why I was wanting to see about having him come home. with her

Poor Health Care

My friend was admitted to Tenova suffering from severe burns from chemo and radiation treatment. The burns were so severe and the pain so great that she couldn't eat and suffered from severe diahrea. Shes been in 3 weeks. For 5 days the nursing staff forgot to give "her her pain meds. One nurse actually called her by another patients first and last name. Despite the condition of her burnt skin she was to weak to get out of bed and had to lie in extrament for 45 min. Finally a nurse came in. She was moved off of the 5th floor to a floor with more caring staff. She is so weak now the Drs are afraid of kidney failure. When you enter the hospital there is a big sign that says "THIS IS A FOR PROFIT HOSPITAL".Run

Good services but billing is nightmare!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
On January 5th, 2019 I received a cash pay discount of 20% on my surgery. It was supposed to be 3,700 but they said if I wanted to pay cash upfront it was 2,950. For a discount like that, of course I paid. Then Tennova didn't bill my procedure until end of Feb. Meanwhile my husband started allergy treatments. The allergist billed promptly and we were out of pocked 6,000 by the end of March. Our deductible is 3K. I got a 2,400 refund from Tennova in April because they finally setted up out bill and that was what was owed. In December Tennova sent me a bill for $1,700. They then adjusted it several more times and settled on me owing $550. After many calls I found out they removed over $500 of my discount because I was out of deductible by the time they billed and my new amount was lower. If I had known that could happen we would have made different choices and I NEVER would have given Tennova a $2,400 personal loan for almost 4 months.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
oh I know exactly what you mean and hers another thing they will do. say you have been to the er 3 or 4 times for different issues and you hae a 75.00 copay each time and you pay half of the copays for 2 visits and the full copay next 2. they combine the difference in what you didn't pay charge you late fees and legal fees. I went from being told I only owed 40.00 to 240.00 and they threatened to garnish my paycheck also. they got mad when I couldn't make an arrangement now also. if you have insurance and they pay for another hospital go there because if you are really sick and have heart issues and stress related health issues you will make yourself worse by going there no one checks what the others are doing or are not doing and the charges meanwhile are racking up. and there is no charity care either.
